Commerce UG - Virtual EMEA User Group
We built an Adobe Commerce storefront the new way: product and category pages on Edge Delivery Services, content in AEM, everything under one domain — with checkout, account, and orders staying on Adobe Commerce. Luma Bridge held it together.
The twist: our Commerce was on-premise, not Cloud. Our CDN was AEM Cloud, not Fastly. Some things we worried about turned out straightforward. Others — Catalog Service integration on a shared Commerce core, routing between AEM and Commerce, cache invalidation strategy — needed real engineering and a few trade-offs we'd now weigh differently.
This is a practitioner's field report: the architecture, the calls we made, the ones we'd reconsider, and the patterns worth stealing.
Join us and welcome Ivan, who will share his hands-on experience building and running this setup in production.
